Sean McGrath

Assistant Coach - Iona College Baseball

Sean McGrath enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Iona College baseball program under head coach Pat Carey. McGrath is responsible for the Iona pitching staff including practice plan, instruction and game management of the pitchers. He will also assist in recruiting.

McGrath comes to New Rochelle after spending part of the 2012 season in the professional ranks. After graduation, he signed with the McAllen Thunder in the United Division of the North American League where he pitched in relief for the final month of the independent baseball season.

McGrath played four years of varsity baseball at Lafayette College. Over his collegiate career, McGrath made 70 appearances totaling 111.1 innings. He finished his career with five wins, five saves, 108 strikeouts, and a .296 batting average against. During his senior campaign, McGrath pitched 32.1 innings and set a couple of career bests; including appearances (26), saves (3), strikeouts (43), and batting average against (.230).

He graduated from Lafayette College in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in government & law and is a native and resident of Lyndhurst, NJ.

John DiGirolamo

Hitting and Catching Instructor for Baseball and Softball

John was 2nd Team All County and 2nd Team All State in his senior year at Dumont High School.  He attended William Paterson University where he was a 2nd Team All American for the 1992 World Series Champions.  John signed a Professional contract with Deluth Dukes an Independent Team out of Minnesota and also a Professional contract with the New York Yankees in 1995.  He is currently in his High School, College, Met League, and the National Semi-Pro Baseball Hall of Fame.

Jenn Barnes-Palko

Pitching Instructor

Jenn has been a pitching instructor since 2002 and has coached some of the top pitchers in the state of New Jersey.  Jenn’s main focus with her students is mechanics in order to maximize speed, and have full control of the ball,  and also to avoid injuries.  She also focuses on movement, location, and speed with her students. Some of her highlights include:

  • 200 hr vinyasa yoga instructor through yoga alliance RYT.
  • Played for NJ Pride 18 and Under Gold Division Softball team.
  • Played for Saddle Brook High School 1999-2002.
  • 1999 2nd Team All County and All-State Outfielder.
  • 2000 and 2001 First Team All-State and All Bergen County Outfielder.  Led Team in Batting Average, RBI’s and had a 1.000 Fielding Percentage as an Outfielder.
  • 2002-First Team All State and First Team All Bergen County.  Lead the State of New Jersey in wins and the County of Bergen in strikeouts as a Pitcher.  Won the BPSL League Division as well as the North 1 Group 1 State Championship. Finished the year with a .62 ERA and over 200 Strikeouts for Season.  Broke the School record for wins in a single season, strikeouts in a single season, RBI’s and lowest ERA for season.  Was also named Athlete of the Week and Player of the Year in 2002.
  • 2003 Played for St. Peters Division 1 College.
  • 2004 Transferred to Felician College where she received a Full Athletic Scholarship for the 3 years attended.
  • 2006 Was named first team ALL CACC conference player, and pitched a no hitter in the conference semi-finals.

Tunnel Vision Sports in an all sports training facility located in Dumont NJ.

We have professional instructors teaching athletes of all ages the proper way to excel in the sport of their choice. Our sports include Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Football, Speed and Agility, Kick Boxing, Zumba, Dodge Ball, T-ball, etc.
